Studies show that having flexible seating in your classroom increases students’ attention spans which results in higher achievement, allows them to choose which is the best seat they want to maximize their learning, and meets their individual educational needs. Obtaining a fulfilled project, and purchasing flexible seating would allow me to help meet needs of my 21st century fourth graders and provide them an unique active learning classroom for 25-28 students. With expanding class sizes, this flexible seating would give my students room for more hands-on activities which leads to improved student learning, makes students more actively engaged in the classroom, and motivates students to improve their education.
