While discussing our Christmas break, my class asked what I did with my time off. I explained that I went to my very first escape room and explained how I had to use my math and history skills to get out. The story really excited them and I thought that it would be amazing to set up a similar one in my 7th grade math class to engage my students even more.
If students aren't engaged, they aren't learning. We will use the supplies to create an escape room that they will have to use math skills to escape. This is not being used for only one lesson. I will be able to use the escape room for many other lessons and STAAR review too.
