My students need a variety of ways to learn. The physical learning environment is essential to insure we are meeting the needs of our students. Many students thrive when given the opportunity for movement and allowing for sensory needs.
Students learn best when they are in a comfortable environment. Flexible seating will allow my students to make choices about where and how they are comfortable and take charge of their learning!
That may be having a chair that allows them to move, a classroom that they can collaborate, and even a spot where they can work in peace. These students are learning that a classroom is not just within the four walls of a classroom. It doesn't have to be a place that is orderly and uncomfortable. Help these students get a chance for change.
The resources that I am asking for will allow my students to find a work space that best meets their individual learning need. The wobble cushions allow for students to sit in a traditional chair or desk and provide some extra cushion. Students who often move around a lot love the extra bounce these provide in their seats. The bean bag chairs and bedrest pillows allow students to be propped up when on the ground. The clipboards let students have a surface tor work on, no matter what space they choose to work in.
