I teach a wonderful group of twenty-six students that are four-five years old in Southern California. Some students entered my class without knowing the alphabet and their numbers, and some students can write stories! Every day my students work together to learn new skills, including how to follow directions, work together with their classmates, and listen to stories on our carpet. Over 40% of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and every student receives free breakfast. Our school is a fantastic blend of cultures, and many students speak another language other than English at home.

About my class
