Flexible seating lets students decided where and how they'll sit to learn - not learn to sit. Bringing in alternative methods into the classroom, such as desk peddlers, lets students identify what is the most comfortable and gets them motivated to learn. This process promotes student creativity and collaboration. Having these options allow students to have choice which allows them to have control over their environment. It also builds community and students learn to take turns and share supplies. Flexible seating helps students to release excess energy while stimulating students' sense of touch. Flexible seating encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive.
