Hello! My name is Klansee Reynolds Bulmer and I share a classroom with 25 inquiring seven and eight-year-olds. Our classroom is one of about 25 in an established charter school in the city of Buffalo. Because we are a conversion charter school, we are also Public School #68. This gives us a few advantages over regular charters but also limits us in a few ways. Like many teachers, I have spent a lot of my own money to create an environment that is exciting and engaging for all of the learners in my classroom. It breaks my heart that I cannot personally afford to provide them with the experiences every young child deserves and needs to have the background knowledge to build their own understandings of the world around them. Every child needs to see where the food we eat comes from, visit the zoo, and Niagara Falls. They need opportunities to interact with others who are different than they are. Thanks for visiting!
