Materials I have chosen for my project of Flexible Classroom Seating will empower my students as they get to choose their work areas with movement and stimulation to become more responsible for their learning. I aim to support students working collaboratively and Flexible Classroom Seating provides the environment to create more engaged and successful students.
Students will have choices to either sit on stools or stand at a tall table, sit at a low table on balance balls, sit on the floor on foam tiles, or use the lap desk tables. Students will choose what seating works best for them as an optimum working environment. I believe I will have fewer discipline problems this year as students have opportunities to become more engaged in their learning.
