I work in a low socio-economic area where 44% of 982 students are second language learners. In my classroom, over 50% are second language learners. My school goes above and beyond to provide our students with high-quality instruction, but it's difficult to provide them with 21st-century skills when lack of funding impedes their access to technology. My students are very enthusiastic about acquiring new knowledge. Using the iPads to enhance their learning will only enrich their educational experience. They often get excited when we have the opportunity to use technology in the computer lab. Unfortunately, we are only allotted 50 minutes per week.
