Do you like sitting at a table all day to do work? I know I don't! My 6-7 year old 2nd graders don't either! This is why I am creating this Donors Choose project! We need help to pay for some flexible seating environments in our classroom!
Studies have shown that allowing children to have movement while they are learning, increases their learning! As a teacher I want to provide my students with as many learning opportunities as I can! With items such as the stability balls, wiggle stools and this rug, my students will be able to choose where they feel they can learn best! Allowing them to have movement and just focus on reading and gaining the confidence needed to become a fluent reader, is my ultimate goal. Becoming a fluent reader is essential for all future learning! These items will help that goal become reality!
