Given the choice to sit at a desk on a hard chair or working in a relaxed flexed seating atmosphere, what would you choose? Of course, you would probably choose the more comfortable option. More and more research is being done about offering flexible seating for students in the classroom. The choice of sitting on a balance ball or a surf desk will allow students alternatives to sitting at a table or on a hard chair. These items will be used by several special needs and ADHD students in my class who need movement to help them focus while learning.
