Our middle school has approximately five hundred and thirty-five students.
Most of our students live at or below the poverty line. Most of our students have the opportunity to be the first in their families to attend college. Because our school is so remote, there are limited resources to offer our students the opportunity to explore the world. Music is usually the first program to be removed from the schools. With the many demands and requirements, it is even more of a challenge to keep a strong music program going. It is amazing watching the students grow musically!
This is my 28th year of teaching and I am so blessed to have great community support. Thank you to all who believe in our music program at Kapa'a Middle School.
