I work with students who are in Kindergarten and 1st grade and have a variety of disabilities. This year, most of their services are being pushed into the general education classroom. With this happening, the students are being exposed to different behaviors, social relationships and emotions. I can tell you that the students I work with rarely want to leave the classroom. They love being with their friends! I am seeing all students making friendships on the playground and in the classroom, which before was not the case. They are also making academic gains by being exposed to the general education curriculum. It is truly amazing sight to see!

About my class
