I am currently in my 2nd year of teaching Digital Communications, Drama, and Audio Visual Technology at Cross County High School (A New Tech School) in Cherry Valley, Arkansas. I graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA and have a background in theatre, social advocacy, activism, and communications. I am passionate about bringing social justice and cultural consciousness conversations and projects into my classroom and am determined to facilitate a learning process where students are motivated to care about the world and communities around them. I am inspired when I see students in my classroom who are curious and aware of the social, environmental, and community-based issues we learn about and discuss and are energized to TAKE ACTION in their own lives to eradicate, solve, and challenge those issues and injustices.
