Our classroom is full of eager learners who constantly try to better themselves. They're always looking to be better readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists. Our school has a very diverse population. It used to be a private school with limited funding and has recently been changed to a charter school. We receive district funding since we are labeled a public school, but we don't receive nearly as much funding as public schools do. We have one teacher and one classroom per grade level. The Art room and Multipurpose/Latin room are converted into the cafeteria each day and we have a very outdated computer lab that is shared by all grades (K-8) of the school. Our limited technology forces teachers to share projectors and document cameras with no guarantee they will be readily available when they need it. Despite our lack of technology and old building, we have fabulous students and parents who are willing to support their children and teachers whenever possible!
