Right now, my students only have one choice for seating in the classroom - metal desks! It's a proven fact that once the bum goes numb, the brain goes numb as well!!
My students need better options for seating in the classroom in order to allow them the freedom to learn in a more comfortable environment.
My plans are to add beanbags, wobble chairs, and other such areas after I am able to place at least two activity tables in my classroom. I believe that math comes with enough stigmas for some students as it is. They need to see that changing the way they view the learning environment can help change the way they learn the material.
