My students have been very engaged in learning about the school garden. They've kept notes in their garden journal about what the different plants and herbs look like, feel like, smell like, and taste like. Yes, I've cooked food from the school garden for my students. They become so excited every time I mention us going to the garden. It's amazing how excited they are to try new vegetables they've never heard of.
Imagine these students having that same excitement for a garden they can grow inside an apartment, a garden they can call their own? What a great means to a healthy and sustainable lifestyle!
