Building Science and Math skills, engineering is a way to incorporate learning in all core subject areas. The Engineering Took Kit resources will be used to create bridges and buildings in our classroom. The materials will be used as S.T.E.A.M. activities within our math and science curriculum. The engineering materials will improve my students school lives by giving them the ability to demonstrate mastery by completing the building task. The engineering center will be used to help students is design brainstorm, create, problem solve and work as a team.
Engineering activities are based on real-world technologies and problems, they help children see how disciplines like math and science are relevant to their lives.
Research shows that engineering activities help build classroom equity.
The engineering design process removes the stigma of failure to problem-solving, which is a positive way of learning. Engineer gives students the skills needed for 21st. Century hands-on learning and discovery.
