My students are a melting pot of cultures. What's even more beautiful is that they are accepting and thirsty for opportunity to learn more everyday. They have a healthy appetite for friendly competition while being able to offer a helping hand for anyone that needs it. One of my incredible students noticed that four of her classmates were struggling to understand the math lesson for the day. Not only did she guide her classmates to clarity, they felt confident in their skill to pay it forward. They look out for each other in the yard and in the classroom. Especially with our students who needs a little more help. They don't make them feel insecure, but empowered. We promote mistakes as learning opportunities and offer chances to grow. They take responsibility for their actions; they are honest. They believe in hard work and team work, which is a direct reflection of school and the environment we work hard at creating.
