My students are kids who are dealing with many different things. Parents who are MIA, in jail, or on drugs. I have many who are taking care of younger siblings due to the absence of a parent. Our school is a wonderful environment for just these types of children. They strive to change the course that so many of these children would inevitably take by modeling positive thinking.
