I have found that group work in math in very effective in increasing the students understanding. So we have a teacher at our school that found her test scores improved greatly due to the students' excitement of group work and flexible seating offered with these groups. With their excitement comes an open mind to learning. I purchased some flexible seating with my own money, but it was not enough to accommodate the 5 groups that I operate in my classroom. With this purchase I will be able to have 5 flexible seating groups instead of the 3 that I now have.
