Hello! I am currently entering my 9th year of teaching second grade! Our rural school sits 30 miles south of Oklahoma City. We are a Title 1 school which means we have a high population of low income students who qualify for free or reduced lunches. Our English Language Learner population is also steadily growing each year. Despite what some may feel are challenges, I see them as opportunities to help them (and myself) grow and fuel their love for learning! I enjoy helping my students achieve their goals and watching them become successful! Children can do so much if just given the opportunity. They surprise me all the time. Never underestimate the curiosity of a child. When given the chance to create or discover their world, learning happens all on its own.
