Hi, I am the STEMER Coordinator at our school. STEMER stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Math with Educational Reading. I have a wonderful group of 5th graders who are in my STEMER group and we are fired up about learning about Ancient Greece. These students are high achieving students who do not attend the gifted program but are eager to be challenged. They are part of our STEMER group and will be doing research and reading about Ancient Greece. They are especially excited to learn about all of the Greek gods. Our school has over 800 students from Pk-5th grade and this program offers students the opportunity to be enriched during the school day with hands-on learning. Our annual Science Expo is in January and the students are ready to show off their learning by displaying various projects made about Ancient Greece. Our Expo is attended by various vendors from the community and over 1100 people visit for this fun-filled evening.
