In my first year of teaching, I have had the privilege of working with the best eight students I could have ever asked for. I teach a self-contained special education classroom for students with moderate to severe disabilities. My classroom contains many students who require sensory breaks throughout the day to lessen the chance of behavioral episodes. Therefore, we keep very busy and are very schedule oriented. My classroom contains 5 students who are nonverbal and use various voice output devices to communicate. We are a very happy group that loves laughing and dancing!
