Hawaii public schools have the highest diversity (linguistic and cultural) index of students in the US. This could not be truer of the students in my classroom. Our mixed classroom has students from Japan, China, Hawaii, and the mainland US. All of these students have unique needs and learning styles and could be assisted with the use of portable electronic devices to service the digital media needs of my diverse learners.
