We are in the process of implementing a school garden. We wish to be good planners. We want to inspect and test our soil to insure that we have the right plants for our planting zone and our soil type. The soil kit and the soil thermometer will allow to narrow our gardening focus.
All good projects must start with good plans. I wish for these students to realize that often the majority of a project's work takes place in the planning. At one time, our courtyard was thriving with azaleas and rose bushes. Over the past few years, the rose bushes have died and there isn't much to look at. We have picnic tables and a bird bath. I envision the courtyard to be a relaxing and peaceful place where the students, faculty, and community can come together to fellowship and enjoy each other.
