Welcome to my Donors Choose page and thanks for considering my plea. I am in my 16th year of teaching and in my 26th year of working with children. In my 26 years I have worked with a variety of different populations of kids, from special needs preschoolers to gang intervention. My true passion lies with teaching our future generations and helping each student become a person of strong character. To paraphrase John Wooden: A teacher has a powerful influence on those he or she teaches, perhaps more than anyone outside the family. Thus it is the obligation of that teacher to treat such responsibility as a grave concern. I do consider this a sacred trust: helping to mold character, instill productive principles and values, and to provide a positive example to those in my classroom. It is a privilege to have that responsibility, one that should never be taken lightly.
I hope I have piqued your curiousity.
