The workwear I am requesting will make a difference with my student's learning because they learn and work better when they look and feel their best. The workwear will provide an opportunity for my students to preserve their clothing and utilize the workwear to optimize their work ethic. The students will utilize the shirts, pants, and safety glasses in the classroom lab while working on projects such as wall framing, electrical circuit wiring, brick laying and pipe soldering.
The workwear will also provide an opportunity for students to look and perform as professionals when they are working on work-based learning sites. The quality of the fabric will protect the students while working in the elements. The students will grow accustomed to looking and working like a professional tradesmen. This student growth will eventually turn into employability traits and increase their likelihood of gaining employment in their field of choice. The construction industry is in dire need of quality, socially responsible employees. I believe this donation will give us the start we need to make that happen!!
