The laptops I am requesting will be used by multiple grade levels. Students from 1st to 5th grade will use the technology to support their understanding and increase their levels of engagement in math and reading concepts. For my beginning readers and English Learners, the laptops provide opportunities to learn words and sounds and also to listen to stories. Students at all grade levels will be able to access websites and engage in new and challenging activities. Although the students I work with do not currently meet their grade level expectations, I believe they will make it with increased levels of engagement and confidence.
