Hello! My name is Marisela Aguirre and I am a proud teacher at Lazaro Cardenas Elementary School on the southwest side of Chicago. Our school serves students in grades pre-K to 8th grade in the Little Village neighborhood. Our student population consists of 97% low income students and 95% of our student population is Hispanic. My classroom is home to 27 bilingual and special education Kindergarten students who love school and are eager to learn.
