We are a Title I school, and the majority of the students receive free and reduced lunch. Our families are wonderful and caring but often unable to provide students with the life experiences I took for granted. For many of my students, school is the only place they are exposed to art materials, even basic supplies such as charcoal and paper. When they make something with their own hands, I see excitement, joy, and a love of learning. Some of them will never take an art class again, therefore I want them to experience as much as they can with me.
