My students come from very diverse backgrounds. I have students with parents in the military, students from working class families, and many students from low socio-economic families. A large portion of my classroom population receives free and reduced lunch. As you can imagine school supplies are sometimes difficult to come by. Unfortunately for many of my students school is their safest and most welcoming place to be. I want my classroom to be as welcoming for them as possible. This carpet will be a perfect place to welcome a teach students each day.
