The word "curious" best describes many of my students. My students are a diverse mix of boys and girls who look forward to learning new skills and applying newly acquired knowledge to practical, realistic situations. My students love to share their ideas, and they relish the times that they can collaborate with one another and exchange their thoughts about what they have read or learned. My students differ in their interests, backgrounds, abilities, and needs. However, almost all of my students are English learners with varying levels of English fluency. My school is a Title I school. Most of the students who attend the school have limited resources and come from families who are socioeconomically disadvantaged.
