In this age, it is important that my art students have creative and easy access to technology. By having cameras available for students they will be able to learn the elements of art and simultaneously capture the world that they see around them.
Students will incorporate their knowledge of composition into imagery that is powerful and shares their voice through photography.
Students will be photographing themselves and their peers, learning about line through a landscape, shape from a flower, proportions through a portrait as well as documenting important events that happen in their lives. These photographs will be used to discuss the importance of elements and principles of art design. Students will be encouraged to discuss the importance of their personal imagery and the meaning behind their images. Students work will be displayed for their peers and the community to view.
