I have 30 fifth grade students. About 70% of my class speak Spanish as their first language and yet they are still reading at their grade level which is amazing! The school we are at is a high poverty school but you would not know it talking to the students because they seem so happy. They love coming to school and learning everyday. We have a lot of fun in our classroom and they enjoy doing work but I try to make our learning fun.
