At our school, we rotate classrooms. What this means is, I start off with 23 students that are my homeroom, but I see to other sets of students throughout the day, bringing the total to 65 students each day! I teach reading, and I have two amazing co-teachers, who teach math and ELA. Because we rotate, our students get to see different teachers throughout the day and know what to expect curriculum-wise with each teacher. It is an amazing and exciting experience! My students are very energetic, so I always try to find ways to keep them up and moving, while still incorporating reading throughout the block of time I have them. Our school is small, with only three teachers per grade-level, but our hearts are very big! As a faculty, we strive to help not only our students, but also our peers as well. Giving students everything they need to be successful is our number one goal!
