Science is all about exploring the world around you, testing thoughts, and using your senses. I want to provide my students with the best way to put science "in their hands" with a see-thru sensory table. My younger students can feel dirt, seeds, sand, and sort materials, while my older students can use this table to explore all of the properties of matter including mixtures and solutions on a large scale giving them lasting memories and learning experiences. Research has proven that learning increases when students can put their hands on real world objects rather that pictures or images. My students will make connections to their classroom content while exploring in my specials rotation with hands on activities.
