Set in an urban district, the high school in which I teach, houses 1800 students, which means I teach 30+ students in one given class (I teach four classes a day, three trimesters a year). I am an English and Yearbook teacher, as well as a Reading Specialist. Not only do I have the pleasure of teaching Honors English 11 and AP students, but I also have the pleasure of teaching Literacy to students with whom are deficient with literary knowledge and writing skills. Those students challenge my knowledge and expertise every day and because of them, I am thankful.
