I teach in a low income school on the south side of my city. My students all receive free breakfast and lunch, and our district is considered a Title I district. My students come from various backgrounds and have varying home lives. Some come from stable, two parent households while others have a parent in prison. Most of the students at our school come from blue collar families, they make enough to survive, but not much more.
