I teach first grade in a large urban Title 1 school. My students come from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Many of my students are English language learners. The majority of my students come from low income families and receive free and reduced lunch. My students face challenges at home; yet, they all come to school excited and eager to learn every day. I teach a mix of students at levels ranging from well below grade level to above grade level. I absolutely love seeing all of my students succeed. The best part about teaching first grade is seeing the excitement on my students faces as they learn and grow everyday.
