Our scholars are trying to compete with students throughout Philadelphia for the 2017 Reading Olympics Competition.
In order to prepare them to meet that challenge our scholars need their own personal book that they can write in and make annotations.
For November scholars will be reading Lions of Little Rock, a story of friendship during the fight to integrate schools in the south. This story has many connections in the continuing struggle for justice and equality that we see today with the Black Lives Matter movement.
Our scholars would be forever grateful for your help and will make sure that they pay it forward.
