I teach fourth grade. I have two sections of math. My students are very eager to learn, but they struggle with new concepts for various reasons. I have students that are second language learners, learners with Autism, and some that are learning disabled in math due to processing skills. My school is a very warm and inviting title one school. We are 41% free and reduced lunches. The meals the students have at school are sometimes their only meals for the day. Many of our students go home to care for themselves everyday. I want these eager learners to become problem solvers in both the classroom and in life. Using the whiteboards would allow me to reach all of the types of learners in my classroom.
