I am inspired by my students everyday by what they can create. I want to help inspire THEM, my Middle school artists by giving them the best art education possible. I teach 260 12-14 year-olds all day everyday and wouldn't change it for the world. This community is stricken with high poverty, and an abnormally high drop-out rate once they hit high school but we are making big progress with that! I have taught my entire 20-year career in this school district and it has my heart. I am a council member of Missouri Art Education Assoc. and through the association was told about this wonderful opportunity our classroom has in "Donorschoose". Our school was recently rewarded with Distinction in Performance which we are very proud of, having overcome many obstacles to reach this milestone.
