I am the lucky teacher to a class of amazingly creative and bright first grade students. My students come to me from a variety of ethnic and economic backgrounds often speak two or more languages. Many of the families in our school community live in poverty. Students may come to school having experiences that have caused trauma.
My class is kind, caring and find the FUN in the mundane. They love to work together in their learning, dance, sing, and tell lots of jokes. My students are very hard working and pride themselves on being problem solvers. Their favorite class activity is read alouds, and their favorite author is Mo Willems!
