My students have not had the opportunity to develop healthy lifestyles. Most students face many challenges in their daily lives (Eg., homeless, low income households, second language barriers, etc.). These are great kids that deserve the opportunity to learn, both physically and mentally. My school is a great place to see the neighborhood families gather for school events.
