The students in my classroom come from a low socio economic neighborhood. Many come from and go home to empty apartments while parents work multiple jobs or to parents not equipped to care for them. Despite this, my students this year come to school with smiles on their faces and an eagerness to learn! Our Elementary School is safe place that works to teach all students regardless of where they are coming from or where they go home to. We strive to assess the needs of our students both social and academic and meet those in needs in a variety of ways tapping every resource possible!
