My students come from all kinds of ethical backgrounds. Most of them speak two languages. They are curious, and they want to learn. My students learn better hands-on, using manipulatives, and creating projects. The rigorous new standards are a challenge for most of them. Quite often, parents can't help their children due to language barriers. Our school is 100% free lunch. Students may receive uniform assistance, and our Parent Center can help parents with many challenges in their lives. We offer English classes for parents and assistance with food programs and even insurance questions. Students receive classroom instruction and are also pulled into a small group if reteaching a concept is necessary. Everybody works very, very hard in our school.
