Our school is one of the few lasting neighborhood schools as many of our city's schools are vastly becoming magnet schools. As we introduce the performing arts to our students it is pertinent to be able to have the tools to teach them. That is where we need your help.
Our auditorium's equipment is very much outdated and almost inoperable. This causes a huge problem when teaching our theater class and training students in technical theater during our spring musical. We are looking to add lights with gels and a light board to teach our students how to run lights for a show.
Having the ability to design lights for a show or running a light board can create many opportunities for students. Not only would this improve the look of our shows but it will allow us to teach more within a technical theater class.
