Many of the instruments the students use at our school were purchased over 20 years ago. We are using tambourines that only have a chimes left, drums with heads that have small tears and mallets that have been glued back together over and over again.
The music students love playing instruments and their willingness to learn new songs and about different cultures is always enhanced by incorporating instruments into the lessons. The students deserve to play on nice equipment, so having these new instruments will not only enhance their knowledge and understanding, but provide them with a sense of pride in the quality of equipment they are using.
