I teach a wonderful group of 4th graders at a neighborhood public elementary school. My students come from many different backgrounds, both in Chicago and from around the world. In fact, forty-five languages are spoken by students who attend my school! We have welcomed students from countries such as Nepal, Nigeria, Afghanistan, and Mexico. This community of students and staff is a wonderful place to teach!
My students are eager to learn, and they love to explore new ideas.
Although they are confronted with several challenges in and out of the classroom, my students work hard to meet the high expectations I have for them.
