I serve as a 1st grade inclusion teacher to 18 happy, curious, and active children, 6 of whom have Individualized Education Plans, and 18 of which have individual learning needs. My students are just embarking on their educational journeys and learning about themselves and how they will engage in school. They love coloring, reading, and any activity that gets them up and moving! I serve in a high-need urban community school. We are working to serve the whole student, and to find ways to create partnerships between families, schools, and communities. Because my students learn in different ways, it's often hard to find the supplies that we need to help them learn best. They are active, curious, and excited kids, embarking on a journey to discover the world, and how they fit into it!

About my class
